REWORK

AW4A02861

Hello lovelies! Hope you all had a smashing Christmas yesterday with your families and have now fully recovered from the food coma that undoubtedly ensued after a day full of eating and drinking – no other way to do it!

SO, for today’s post I was aiming to throw together a look mostly using items that I had purchased last season & making them work in our current winter weather..

I feel like it’s too easy to throw your hands up at the start of a season and go “Right, time for a whole new wardrobe”. We’ve all done it – heck, I know I certainly have.

With so many trends being recycled over seasons in the last couple of years, I was determined to try and be a little bit more savvy with my clothes this winter and get more wear out of some of the pieces I had purchased in the summer..

I loved the colour combination for this look – the tan trousers with the grey, white & blue tones really made the outfit pop on a crisp winter day.

I teamed up a pair of cropped tan trousers I had purchased from Topshop with a blue collared shirt from H&M and a gorgeous grey knitted wool jumper from the Debranded Outlet (If you follow me on instagram, you’ll already know that I have been raving about the place!). I slipped on a pair of white pointed heels from New Look & accessorised with a camel coloured fedora from Rag & Bone, Ray Ban Wayfarers and a stunning shoulder bag from DVF.

To me, this outfit was practical and cosy for current weather while still being chic and stylish – and it’s all old season!

If you fancy having a dabble in reworking some amazing pieces from previous seasons into your current wardrobe, then I would definitely recommend heading down to Debranded. Located inside the Observatory in Slough High Street in Berkshire (35 min train journey from Central London) and situated directly opposite the TOPSHOP outlet, Debranded is a GOLD MINE for any bargain hunter. I’m not allowed to name the brands they house for various reasons but they are BIG. Any keen shopper will be able to spot the original retailer from some tell tale hints on the tags… Think of the big three on the high street – yup, all there and then some! In fact, there are even a couple of high end brands in there.. I can’t say much more than that I’m afraid! All you need to know that items are on sale with up to 75% off and Debranded refreshes it’s stock on a daily basis. When I ‘popped in’ for a quick visit and a chat with the brains behind the brand, I was totally blown away and left with a fair few bags! (Keep an eye out for a haul video..)

If you’re ever in the area, make sure you pay them a visit and let me know what bargains you pick up!

So, did you guys like today’s look? Have you been reworking some of your summer clothes into your winter wardrobe?

Thanks for reading my loves!

Until the next post

DRAPE

Merry Christmas my loves!! So I know it’s been a red hot minute since I put up a style post AND I feel like recently, every time I have uploaded a post I’ve been making excuses..

WELL, now that my 3 day wedding extravaganza has passed and all went well (I’ll be sharing a few photos on here soon enough) and with the new year approaching fast, I have vowed to make it up to you all in 2015. In spite of the wedding plans taking up most of my time, I was so grateful to have collaborated with such amazing brands and work on some fantastic opportunities! In case you missed it, I teamed up with Amex & ShopStyle on a feature recently which you can check out here. What a fab way to end the year!

So, with the apologies out of the way, moving on to today’s look..

As soon as I saw this Waterfall Drape coat on ASOS, I completely fell in love. It’s very similar to ‘IT’ coat from ZARA that sold out and was on everyone’s wish-list but I feel the ASOS version is a bit more dramatic with the draping. One of the negatives however was that even though the price was roughly the same, the quality of fabric used on the ASOS version was a bit disappointing. Still a fabulous coat though!

Another great buy was a military green jumper I picked up recently from Topshop. It’s really warm and not itchy at all which is a problem with a LOT of winter knits, I find. Military green is EVERYWHERE this winter and teamed with a comfortable fit, this jumper is perfect for staying on trend while being practical. I teamed the jumper with distressed denim, also from Topshop and a military green fedora from ASOS. Finally, to add a touch of glam to the outfit, I slipped on a gorgeous pair of nude patent leather pointed heels also from Topshop and some classic Rayban aviators.

I really did love this look.. It was practical for winter whilst being stylish, chic and most importantly – really really warm!

Thank you for reading my lovelies, hope you all are having a fantastic and magical Christmas and that Santa brought you all that you wanted!
