Move over Jo Malone, there’s a new sheriff in town!
OK, Confession time – recently, I have found myself obsessing over candles. I know, I know.. how very Pinterest of me! Cliche’s aside, I love how aesthetically pleasing candles can add an instant dash of chic to an office desk or a touch of class to a coffee table and so on and so forth. Yes, I have turned into one of THOSE people – you know, the one’s who buy a bunch of candles and never light them.
Today though, I want to focus on one particular brand, Maison Ves..
Launched earlier this year, Maison Ves successfully intertwined all the luxurious elements we’d expect from a candle brand with a modern touch – hashtags.
Offering 8 different scents for 8 different occasions, each Maison Ves candle comes engraved with hashtags relating to the event. For example, some are more lighthearted with the Best Friend candle sporting not only a divine Black Fig & Vanilla scent but also tags such as #PARTNERINCRIME or the Engagement candle reffering to the event #GAMEOVER & #OFFTHEMARKET while emulating gorgeous scents of Lemongrass and Verbena. There’s also candles for Birthday’s, Weddings, Valentines Day, Thank You, Relax and of course, Mother’s Day.
I adore the concept of adding hashtags.. we are the social media generation and I think Maison Ves hit the nail on the head with adding a modern touch to their luxurious candles.
My mum is definitely getting one of these for Mother’s Day!
“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” I hear you say.. but before you throw your Devil Wears Prada handbook at me, lets just take a moment to appreciate this beautiful exception to the rule..
I cannot express how much I love this dress – it is literally what fairy-tales are made of. From the moment I put it on, I had a tonne of different people stop me to ask me where it was from & how amazing it looked.
The watercolor print itself is divine and the fabric is really sturdy, so the dress stays up without the need of a petticoat underneath. I did opt to stick a tulle skirt underneath but more for warmth purposes. I teamed it with pair of turquoise suede platforms and a simple gold cuff to accessorise. I pulled my hair up in a high ponytail and that was it. The dress was the centre of everyone’s attention so I was sure to keep my hair and accessories simple. Even looking at pictures of it now is making a small smile creep up on my face – it’s one of those dresses that just makes you so happy! Literally Summer in a dress!
Speaking of Summer, how amazing is the weather at the mo?? Or am I just being really British by getting excited by a little bit of Sunshine? Haha
Hope you’re all having a fab Saturday!
Thanks for reading.. until the next post!

Happy Thursday lovely people – we are almost at the weekend! Today, I’m posting my favorite look in a while with a total look from Windsor Store..
If you saw my last post with them, you may have noticed that the two are polar opposites – the first being incredibly girly and this one being a little more on the edgy side. I think that sums up my sense of style perfectly.. I dress how I feel on a daily basis and my tastes are so eclectic and I love that Windsor Store caters across such a wide range of styles!
I LOVE these leggings so much, they look and feel amazing and even though you can’t see it in these pics, they are high waisted with a front zip detail – amazing to dress up or down! I teamed them with a loose fitting brown tee and draped a black trench coat on top. I accessorized with an ethnic cuff I picked up in Pakistan years ago, added a STUNNING coin necklace, a black fedora and some classic Ray Ban aviators. To finish the look, I slipped on a gorgeous pair of patent leather peep toe booties I picked up from Debranded outlet.
I’ve been talking a lot recently about how simple outfits make me feel the most confident and every day I feel like it’s more and more true. I love how simple this outfit is but stylish none the less <3
On a personal note, I’ve been working none stop to make sure I keep posting regularly and I hope you guys are enjoying the regular updates! Make sure to drop me a comment if there’s anything you want me to focus more on like beauty, lifestyle, people or places!
Thank you for reading my loves, until the next post!
Hey my loves! So as you’ve probably seen, denim is EVERYWHERE this season – whether it’s 70’s inspired flares, dungarees or a pair of girlfriend jeans, a good denim staple is an absolute must have in your wardrobe this Spring. So, with that in mind, I teamed up with Marks & Spencer to style up one of the key pieces from their SS15 denim hub in a couple of different ways..
The key denim piece that I picked was these gorgeous dungarees. I’m always lusting over other peoples over all’s on instagram and thought it was finally time I got a pair too!
I went for a total ‘off duty’ look and teamed the over all’s with a graphic print top from Another 8 and my trusty Nike Air Force 1’s. I put my hair up in a messy bun and finished the look with some blue mirrored aviators.
How CUTE is that lil pup? His owner walked over and asked if I would take some photos with him and it made my day – he was so adorable and a total diva in front of the cam! Right, now onto my second, more dressed up look!
I wanted to glam up the dungarees a bit so teamed them up with this roll neck knitted vest top, a killer pair of heels from Windsor Store, a gold cuff and some midi rings. I let my hair down and added my green mirrored aviators to finish the look. I would totally wear this look on a ‘day date’ – glam whilst still keeping it casual!
What do you guys think – which look do you prefer? What is your denim must have for this season?
