With Autumn in full swing, I know we’re not too far off from the knee length boots, multiple layers and over sized coats.. so thought I would make the most of my summer/autumn wardrobe while I still can!

Kimono, c/o Missbehaver,  Utility jumpsuit, Miss Selfridge– £24.99 (Similar here!), Booties, Charlotte Russe£15, YSL Arty Ring£215

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kimono from Missbehaver, the print and vivid colours make it perfect for injecting a bit of life into an all black ensemble.. I teamed mine up with with a jumpsuit I bought from Miss Selfridge and some gorgeous shoe boots from Charlotte Russe. I felt like a necklace would be too much and distract from the kimono, so added on a few midi rings and my gorgeous Arty Ring from Saint Laurent.

Hope you all are settling into Autumn well.. and have your A/W wardrobes ready to go! ;)

Thanks for reading.. until the next post!

Rock & Rose..

Happy Sunday Londonistas! Hope you’ve all had a good weekend in spite of the grey, dreary weather. Obviously, the rain made for not so ideal photography conditions so I thought I’d share a look from a few days back..

My sense of style isn’t exactly what you’d describe as ‘uber girly’ but every now and then an occasion calls for it..

I was gifted this beautiful floral maxi dress a few weeks back and as I’m sure you’ve all seen, pale pink is EVERYWHERE this season. Pink is not my colour and I tend to avoid it but I couldn’t help but fall in love with the combination of the powder pink, black floral print and lace.

Floral print maxi– Gift, MANGO (similar here!),  Alexander McQueen inspired box clutch – Gift, (Similar here!)

First of all, can anyone spot how grey my hair has gotten recently? A stressful summer has left me with a Rogue-esque (X-men) do but I’m kind of digging it.

Anyway, I think a dress like this would be perfect for a Summer wedding as the material itself was light and airy but more importantly, simple and elegant. I teamed it up with a box clutch I also got as a gift, put my hair up in a messy bun and finished it off with a silver and black cuff and a pair of earrings.

Completely different from my usual attire but it’s always good to try things outside of your comfort zone right?

That’s all for tonight Londonistas..

Thanks for reading, until the next post!

The Icing on the Cake..

Lolas Cupcakes 6

Good evening Londonistas..

Not having much of a sweet tooth, I think I have truly let one of London’s finest slip under my radar.. until now! Yesterday, I had a surprise delivery land on my desk.. my recruitment consultant had sent me a gift to congratulate me on my new position! If that wasn’t sweet enough as it is, the delivery was a box of divine treats from Lola’s cupcakes.

I’ve known about Lola’s cupcakes for agggess.. who hasn’t? After all, they are sold in Harrods and Selfridges.. they are the crème de la crème of their kind. I’d never gotten round to trying them before, since I never go out of my way to try anything I think will be excessively sweet.. but boy oh boy was I wrong to judge.

Quite simply.. Mind = BLOWN

Hand crafted and baked and iced to perfection, you can literally taste the love in these cakes. My favorite out of my selection was the Banana and Caramel and the Red Velvet of course.

I will definitely be going back to Lola’s cupcakes for seconds.. and thirds and fourths and fifths.

Thank you to my amazing consultant, Alicia Martins, for thinking of me and for opening my eyes to Lola’s (I’ll thank you again when I’m 10 stone heavier as a result of my new obsession)!

Feeling hungry Londonistas? Why not try them out for yourself.. you can find your closest store on their site.. or better yet, have them delivered to your door!

Thanks for reading.. Until the next post!

You’re gonna hear me ROAR..

So it seems that Mother Nature did not take too kindly to my little taunt about the dwindling sunshine in London yesterday.. as temperatures soared today, and will continue to do so this entire week!

White blouse, Tesco– £12.99,  Maxi skirt, H&M– £24.99, Scarf (worn as bow), c/o Jahanaara, Ray Ban wayfarers, ASOS£120.00

Strangely, I woke up this morning wanting to channel Karl Lagerfield/Cruella de Vil while still being able to cope with the ridiculous heat.. (Ridiculous by British standards, that is!)

So I teamed up a chiffon white blouse I bought at Tesco’s last week with a beautiful sheer maxi skirt from H&M. I bought the skirt some time ago but found it difficult to style as my small frame/big hips combo makes it difficult to pull off full length skirts.. but I found that by using a chunky waist belt, I was able to accentuate my waist a bit more to even out my shape.

Adding on a printed scarf by Jahaanara as a bow and donning my trusty wayfarers gave this very simple outfit a bit of an edge, I pulled my hair into a messy up do and voila..

Despite not having to put much effort into it, I love this look.. what do you guys think?

On a seperate note, I’ve had Katy Perry’s ‘ROAR’ stuck in my head over the last few days.. Not exactly my normal genre of choice but it’s such an upbeat, catchy tune..

On that optimistic note, I hope everyone has had/is having a stellar day!

Thanks for reading Londonistas.. Until the next post!
