Black, White & Red

Happy Belated Christmas!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful day with your families, friends, pets yesterday and that Santa bought you everything you wanted.. and then some ;)

I had aimed to wish you yesterday but I was literally unable to move after consuming copious amounts of chocolate.. oops!

I’m in love with the colour red at the moment, as it seemed to make me feel rather festive.. so when I spotted this gorgeous Red ribbon trim shaker hat in River Island.. I just HAD to have it!

The hat itself is quite a statement piece so I thought it would be perfect to make a black and white ensemble pop! I teamed a faux leather skater skirt and dinner jacket from H&M with a white blouse from F&F at Tesco! I accessorized with an absolutely stunning pearl necklace from Accessorize (which I purchased years ago), my ASOS posy platforms and of course, my beautiful quilted Chanel flap bag. To bring the outfit together, I matched my lipstick shade to my hat with a semi-matte finish lippy from NARS in ‘Fire Down Below’.

It’s nice to dress up once in a while, especially since my style tends to be more on the laid back side!

Anyway, I hope you all have your outfits sorted for New Years.. 2013 has been such an amazing year for me I almost don’t want it to end.. almost ;)

I absolutely LOVE this tee and skirt combo from the FANNY LYCKMAN FOR ESTRADEUR AW/XIII collection. The beautiful print with the gorgeous combination of colours makes it an absolute head turner. I combined the skirt and tee with my trusty Zara sneaker wedges and my Céline luggage bag. I finished the look off with a black felt fedora from Topshop and a deep purple lippy from YSL.

I pretty much am all done with Xmas shopping and am so excited to be work free, kicking back with the family and can’t wait to open all my presents ;)

Hope you’re all feeling just as festive!

Happy Tuesday folks!

Thought I’d give you a quick update with an outfit from the other day.. If you’re a regular visitor to my blog then you are most probably already be aware of my love for Jeffrey Campbell! I bought these Shadow platforms in an Office sale for less than half price – £55 for a pair of JC’s is certainly a steal. With shoes that make this big a statement, I thought it would be important to team them up with a fairly simple outfit and I found a gorgeous, comfy jumper from H&M in nude that matched perfectly!

I am all for a bit of ‘Fashion over Function’ but outerwear is a must in this weather so I grabbed my divine Alice by Temperly Sandrine leather jacket (via Jules B) and finished it all off with a black leather shoulder bag..

I hope you’re all prepped for Christmas.. only a few days till the holiday season officially begins :)

Bisous my lovelies.. Until the next post!

MandS PomPom Beanie Hat-0011

When I got the e-mail asking me if I wanted to take part in Marks & Spencer’s Secret Santa campaign, I was completely over the moon! M&S is one of those quintessential British brands that you can’t help but love, not to mention they changed the way I thought about food following *that* television ad..

Anyway, the first part of my challenge was to pick out a gift from the M&S site within a budget of £20 based on the style and taste of the blogger I had been paired up with it.

After getting the email confirming which blogger I’d be playing Secret Santa for, I spent hours browsing through her blog, wanting to make sure I picked out the perfect gift. I was amazed at the amount of variety I had, for just £20! I narrowed it down to 3 items based on the style of the blogger but ultimately decided on a beautiful knitted slouchy pom pom beanie hat!

MandS PomPom Beanie Hat

M&S Pom Pom Beanie – £15.00

I thought the hat would be a perfect Secret Santa gift as it fitted in perfectly with my allocated bloggers style.. Not every one can pull off hats but she certainly seems to!

The second (really exciting) part of the campaign was obviously receiving my own Secret Santa present from a fellow blogger and here it is..

I was really pleased with this gorgeous necklace.. My Secret Santa obviously took the time to take in my style and picked up on my love for statement jewellery and it is absolutely perfect for the holiday season! I can’t wait to team it up with a black dress or even a jean and blazer combo!

A HUUUGGGE thank you to M&S and my Secret Santa! xox

Check out a few of my other fav buys from M&S… all under £20!

If you’re still on the look out for some last minute pressies or stocking fillers, be sure to check out the M&S ‘gifts for her‘ section for a whole range of affordable and gorgeous gifts!
