Style Essentials – Part 2.5

Considering how much I enjoyed sharing my last two posts featuring a couple of Dorothy Perkins’ ‘Style Essentials’ with you guys, I thought I’d do a little bonus post to mark the end of an awesome couple of weeks..

So here is Part Two point Five, where I style the jogger again!

Apart from the Geo Jogger, the black crepe version also really stood out to me – it’s so versatile!

I decided to bring together two big current trends when putting this ensemble together; Monochrome and Sports Luxe – Comfort meets Chic!

I teamed the jogger with a Nike running tee with a graffiti print, a black dinner jacket from H&M and some white pointed heels from Faith. To accessorise, I wore a single beaded bracelet from Nevaeh Jewellery, grabbed my black Celine and my blue mirrored Ray Ban aviators.

I thought the t-shirt was great to add a splash of colour and just giving the outfit a more relaxed vibe. Given the length of my hair at the moment, I seem to have it up in a high ponytail all the time these days.. but I kind of like it!

So what do you all think? Which jogger look do you prefer?

Hope you liked all three of my recent DP looks!

As always, thanks for reading lovelies.. until the next post!

Style Esstentials – Part Two

Following up from my post earlier on in the week, here’s the second installment of my collaboration with Dorothy Perkins, styling up another one of their ‘Style Essentials‘ for this season – the soft trouser.

With my first look, I channeled simplicity for Spring so for the second, I wanted an edgier ensemble.. something to make more of a statement and the geo jogger was absolutely perfect for it!
The sport luxe trend was huge last A/W and isn’t going anywhere this season either. Brightly coloured and printed joggers are perfect to team up with lose tee’s and trainers or dress up with high heels and a blazer.
For my look, I teamed the uber comfy soft trouser with a matching cami, a white structured blazer and white pointed heels from New Look (Out of Stock but I’ve linked to a similar pair below). To accessorise, I chose my favorite statement necklace, blue mirrored aviators and of course, a statement lip.
The one thing I loved about this look was how confident I felt it – the jogger and cami combo was not only eye catching and flattering, but so so comfortable. After all, feeling good in what you wear is going to make you look twice as good in it! ;)
So what do you think? Are you a fan of this essential?
As before, I’ve picked out a few of my fav joggers for you guys – let me know what you think!
Thanks for reading my lovelies, until the next post!

Rosie for Autograph

Lately, there’s been an increasing trend of styling up underwear as outerwear.. silk slips as dresses, camisoles as tops and especially lace shorts, bound to be a festival favourite I reckon. With that in mind, I recently got tasked with putting my own spin on the trend courtesy of Marks & Spencer..

I feel like too often I put up posts of what I’d wear on a special occasion or a big night out and not enough casual day wear post. So for this task I wanted comfort to be at the forefront of my outfit decisions! I teamed a beautiful oyster coloured camisole from the Rosie for Autograph collection with a pair of mid wash skinny jeans from Levi’s and a denim shirt from H&M. I opted for white Chuck Taylors which I am wearing ALL the time at the moment, so comfortable and they are go with pretty much any look. To finish the look off, I grabbed a gorgeous pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses from luxury eye wear brand, Finest Seven.
I’m in love with the range of camisole’s on the M&S site at the moment.. as I mentioned in my last post, cami’s are an absolute must have for this season and the Rosie for Autograph range in particular has a variety of printed, lace and silk camisoles that are just to diiieee for! Be sure to check out the whole range to get ideas of your own on how you would style your underwear as outerwear!
Thanks for reading my lovelies, until the next post!

Style Essentials – Part One

As you may have already seen on my social networking sites, I am SOOO excited to be collaborating with Dorothy Perkins on their ‘Style Esstentials’ collection for SS14.
The collection consists of 10 must have pieces for this season that are not only bang on trend but incredibly versatile. I was lucky enough to be tasked with styling two of those gorgeous essentials and I couldn’t be happier about it!

AW4A7941-1AW4A7989-1AW4A7994-1AW4A8024-1AW4A8004-1AW4A8029-1 AW4A7939-1

In the words of Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, ‘Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance‘ and that is what I kept in mind for the first half of my DP ‘Style Essentials’ challenge.

Working one of this season’s absolute MUST haves, the cami, I styled an outfit I thought was simple but eye catching, making it ideal for glorious Spring weather.
DP have a range of beautiful camisoles in stock but I especially loved the plain cami’s in pastel hues- simplicity at it’s best!
I opted for the cami in blush and teamed it up with some distressed denim from TOPSHOP, a gorgeous pair of camel and blush sandals from ‘See by Chloe’ via ASOS. To accessorise, I chose a stunning multicoloured statement necklace from ZARA, my fav cami clutch from NEXT, a couple of natural weaved bangles and of course, my trusty Ray Ban aviators.
Obviously to me, the items that makes this whole outfit is the camisole. The fit is incredibly flattering and perfect for balancing out the super skinny jeans! I thought the necklace was ideal for bringing a splash of colour to the necklace and aren’t the shoes just divine? A great sale steal even if I do say so myself.
So what do you all think? How would you style this essential? Check out a few of my other favorite cami’s below and keep an eye out for the second half of my challenge over the next few days. :)
Thanks for reading lovelies, until the next post!
