The American Dream

Like almost every other girl, I love to dress up – who doesn’t love wearing a fancy dress and a fab pair of heels? But these days I find that I am always my happiest and most comfortable in laid back, casual attire..

Nothing beats a jeans and vest combo, especially as the weather is starting to get fairly warmer now. I teamed a printed vest top from Pull & Bear with my distressed black denim from Daisy Street (told you I was living in them these days!). To accessorize the simple outfit, I grabbed a big rimmed floppy hat from H&M, a pair of gorgeous suede boots from Ravel, my Nasty Gal block part bag and a few neon bracelets from Claire’s.

I absolutely adore my boots from Ravel.. they are sooo comfortable and ideal for this season. Pair them with denim or a pretty pastel dress to an outfit with a southern twist!

As far as the stand out piece in this outfit goes, the bloc party bag was definitely my best sale buy ever – at under £30 it was an awesome investment and I love it more and more every time I take it out for a spin!

I know that I’m usually all about the bold prints and big heels on the blog, but it’s nice to share a more laid back look with you guys – hope you liked it!

As always, thanks for reading lovelies – until the next post!

Focus On: Shellys London

Last week I had the opportunity to meet up with the lovely folk at Tower London and get the low down on what’s hot this season in the footwear department. One of the brands we focused on in particular, was the pioneer of the platform and a firm blogger fav, Shellys London.

Tower London were kind enough to let me have a snoop at their stock of Shellys London S/S 14 collection and as expected, it did not disappoint!

Staying true to their roots and aiming at the girl who truly wants to stand out, the new season collection features 90’s inspired flatforms, chunky rubber heels and edgy cut-out brogues. Check out my top 5 picks from this seasons collection below!

5. Blue Asuven Canvas Boots

Not only are these heeled boots bang on trend – covering two seasonal must haves : pastel shades and floral print, they

4. White Ybireri Sandals

You can never go wrong with white and these sandals have an amazing ridged sole that makes them stand out for the crowd. An absolute must have for the summer!

3. Blue Olaedia Sandals

I just adore these metallic blue sandals. Team them up with a gorgeous summer dress or black jeans and a tee for an effortlessly chic look.

2. Black Magni Flatform Sandals

These flatforms are perfect for warm weather and ideal for putting an edgy twist on a sweet summer ensemble!

1. Blue Loviri Leather Shoes

And the winner is… *drum roll* the gorgeous Blue Loviri cut out brogues. These were my absolute favourite! I absolutely love the shade of blue and the quality of the leather used. If the shoes didn’t already make a big enough statement, the cut out detail just takes it to another level! I can’t wait to team them up with a white jumpsuit and my pastel blue leather jacket!

So what do you guys think? Which style is your favourite?

Thanks for reading lovelies.. until the next post!

Glitz at The Ritz

So a couple of days ago, I went to The Ritz for a fabulous lunch and although the importance of formal attire within their eateries is aimed more at men, I thought I would throw on a spectacular jacket fit for an equally spectacular venue..

I spotted this stunning brocade print jacket in the sale section of the Nasty Gal website a few weeks away and could not take my eyes off it. The gorgeous gold ornate print matched with the structured fit is a total eye catcher and the 50% off wasn’t so bad either ;)

I teamed the blazer with a cream sleeveless blouse and black bow tie, a pair of distressed black jeans from Daisy Street (I am practically living in these jeans at the moment.. so comfy and super skinny!) and a pair of suede pointed heels from Next (Old but I’ve linked to similar here and below).

As my jacket was pretty glitzy, I opted for no jewellery and grabbed my trusty Celine to finish the look off!

I have some more exciting news in the works at the moment and can’t wait to share it with you all over the next couple of weeks!

Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend.. Until the next post!

Paper Dolls

With the new season in full swing in London over the last week, I was all smiles when I wore a floral suit from Paper Dolls that is just the epitomy of Spring Style!

AW4A8421 AW4A8432 AW4A8453 AW4A8463

I really couldn’t gush enough about how beautiful this floral jacket and trouser combo from Paper Dolls is.. The colours and print are just so perfect for spring!

I love the tones of blue in the suit and teaming the jacket with a powder blue cami from Dorothy Perkins really brought out the colours just that much more. To let the focus remain on the suit I opted for tan cork wedges and a tan coloured bag from the new Paper Dolls Handbag range!

Finally, to finish the look off, I added a multicolored floral necklace from Zara and a rose gold watch from Next.

So, what do you guys think?

On a quick side note.. As you all know, I am all about the pastel looks these days and Style Fruits currently have a competition running on their website giving a select number of bloggers the opportunity to win a Michael Kors Selma bag in the most beautiful shade of pastel blue! I was fortunate enough to be one of the bloggers to be listed in the competition so if you could take a second out of your day to vote for my ‘Pastel me Pretty’ outfit here, I would oh so grateful! :)

Thanks for reading (and voting) my lovelies, until the next post!
