So this post has been long over due.. and I don’t just mean because it’s taken me well over a week since I attended this amazing event to get the photos up on here – but that it’s been a long time coming for me to tell you about this incredible brand..

It’s no secret that I am not a fan of the winter. As the Autumn leaves fall onto the ground, my lust for a social life seems to vanish into thin air and I mentally prepare myself and my friends for my disappearance until Spring. With that in mind, when I got my invitation for Velsvoir’s presentation at LC:M, the fact that I was jumping for joy could only mean that it had to be an extra special night – and that it was!

I met the (2 of the 3) Velsvoir brother’s at London Fashion Week a couple of years ago and I still remember that moment like it was yesterday. It may sound like a grand statement to say that they are the best dressed men I have ever seen in my life, but it’s true.

Zak and Talha Timol have a flair for design and impeccable attention to detail, which is obvious in their sense of style and reflected so clearly in their brand.  I personally also love them so dearly because they are two of the most genuine and caring people I’ve met, but then so does most of London as I’ve never walked further than two steps with these two before someone would stop them to say hello.

The brand itself came to life in early 2012 when the brothers’ accidentally reinvented the bow tie.. fast forward a few years, multiple fashion weeks and one Esquire ‘Best New Designer’ award and you now have Velsvoir with a strong presence in both London and Dubai and an expanding range of products!

The venue for their AW presentation was the oh so amazing London Edition Hotel – a perfect match with Velsvoir; luxurious, with a hint of an edge and a tonne of character.  The collection itself drew inspiration from ‘a crisp winter day bathed in sunlight, reflecting bold ambition and clarity’ with shades of grey and blue. It also featured an exclusive collaboration with artist Gregory Emvy, which featured a divine pipe print on ties, cravats and their signature bow tie.

I always roll my eyes when people talk about the ‘vibe’ of a place but I am totally going to put it out there that the general ‘vibe’ of the night was so great. The venue was buzzing, drinks were flowing, celebrities were spotted and friends were found! I ran into my brother from another mother, the always dapper Toni from Fashitect!

Congratulations to the Velsvoir boys on such an incredibly successful night and new collection – I really can’t think of a brand or people who deserve it more! You can check out more about Velsvoir here and you can follow them on instagram and twitter at @velsvoir.

Thank you to everyone who showed me so much love on instagram for this outfit. The skirt is from Windsor Store (similar below), the coat is from ASOS (now sold out – similar below), my cream Cashmere turtleneck was a gift (similar below) and my shoes are from Topshop! I grabbed my cute DVF bag and slicked my hair back for a change!

As always, thanks for reading my loves – until the next post!
