Given that I am in my late twenties (gulp), I’ve made a conscious effort of late to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with more shapes, silhouettes and colors that I would normally shy away from. I don’t want to look back and wish that I had experimented with more different styles over the course of my youth – and for the most part it’s been a great thing! Today however, I went back to basics and threw together a look that prioritized comfort above all else..
I really didn’t plan on shooting this look, but I love how it came together.. a bit grungier than my usual posts but hey, I think that’s why I liked it even more..
I teamed up a simple grey H&M tee (which actually belongs to my husband) with a pair of frayed denim shorts from Zara with tights underneath. I then tied a tartan flannel shirt from Jack Wills around my waist to add a little bit of colour to the outfit and wore this GORGEOUS bomber jacket from Finder Keeper’s Westsider collection on top. I actually was gifted this bomber mid last year, but never got round to shooting it until now. It is succch a beautiful jacket and feels sooo good on!
To accessorize (and for warmth purposes), I donned a grey slouch beanie from H&M and grabbed my blue mirror wayfarers. Finally, I slipped on some black canvas shoes from Public Desire and a white marble cross necklace from Claire’s accessories to finish the look off.
I was soo comfortable in this ensemble and I think it show’s in the photos… Some day’s it’s exactly what you need – function over fashion
As most of the items in this outfit are super old, I’ve linked to as similar options as I could find.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.. I can’t believe it’s Sunday night already! Where does the time go? Ah well..
As always, thanks for reading my lovelies.. until the next post!
